The above spectrogram from our quadrupole mass spectrometer reads in real time the purity of the hydrogen stream coming off the RET reactor during hydrogen production from water vapor decomposition. Although we have estimated that the purity of hydrogen is > 97% a precise purity level is difficult to read since it is beyond the scope of the accuracy of the mass spectrometer. The level of the background moisture [ mass = 18] is about the same as the oxygen [ mass = 32]. A sample of gas will be sent to a third party for composition analysis and certification. In 2010, we will allow prospective customers to sample small volumes of high purity hydrogen (>99%) and oxygen for sale.
